Coach Art is a program working with kids who have chronic illnesses to inspire and teach them new things. Many kids feel isolated when they're young for whatever differences they have, but kids with chronic illnesses often feel this more intensely. Because many kids families struggle financially with medical bills, oftentimes extracurricular activities like arts and athletics are not affordable. CoachArts works to reduce the feelings of isolation by offering free lessons to kids with chronic illnesses.
CoachArt looks for volunteers to mentor kids individually or in groups, to help bring some inspiration into their lives. Emily is a volunteer who will be mentoring one of the kids to teach them about fashion design. As one student says, "I’m a pretty simple person, what makes me genuinely happy in life is feeling inspired by it…" --Claire
